A journey that became a legacy.
From Mandvi to Dar es Salaam. From a tailoring shop to a family of businesses serving life’s fundamental needs.
Mandvi, India → Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Where it began.
In 1927, Alibhai embarked on a journey from Mandvi, India, to Dar es Salaam, laying the foundation for what would become the Alibhai Group.
A modest tailoring shop marked the beginning of the business. Across four generations, that early venture grew into a portfolio spanning cashew exports, real estate and fabric trading.
Food, shelter and clothing remain the common thread: fundamental needs that connect our businesses to everyday life.
